Lee has been hard at work again! Now the front entryway of our home has a path of black slate rocks that we procured from the beach of a nearby island AND there is a fantastic set of bookshelves built into the end of my kitchen cabinets! Slowly but surely our home is becoming ours, complete with our own unique additions and touches.

We took the jetboat over to one of the nearby islands on one sunny afternoon.  We went at low tide and picked them right off the beach.  After some power-washing and removing the barnacles and the fish smell, Lee puzzled them into place:

This find in my forest “backyard” made me smile yesterday.  This is a watermelon berry, the berries are indeed edible but taste like watered-down watermelon to me.  What beautiful rainbow colors though!
