7 people and a dog loaded into a boat on Saturday and headed to Lincoln Island for the first camping trip of the season! There is a new forest service cabin there and myself and Lee and Neka, Shawn and Rachel and their 3 kids went to check it out. There were some rough seas (worse than predicted) so we anchored up off of Gull Island and hung out there in the sun and waited for the winds to die down.
After a few hours we loaded up and set sail for Lincoln Island. The cabin and the view was absolutely stunning as all of Southeast AK tends to be and we were not disappointed!

Inside the cabin: even comes with an oil stove (byo propane) and we had it toasty in there. Low’s of 29 degrees on Saturday night.

My best tinfoil dinner yet: moose burger, sweet potatoes, onions, peppers, and brussel sprouts with a splash of teriyaki sauce.
