I took a break from knitting again and busted out the old sewing machine. I got a book I had been eyeing up at JoAnn’s (with a 50% off coupon!) called ‘Zakka Style’ (by Rashida Coleman-Hale) and it had some really neat projects in it. I wanted a handbag that was big enough to hold my wallet, phone and dayplanner, so I found a pattern in this book and started sewing.
Then I decided I needed a case to protect my fabulous Christmas gift of an ipad mini from Lee. I did not have a pattern, made it up as I went using several different ideas from the all-knowing, all-encompassing, what-did-we-ever-do-without-it pintrest.

The hexagons were fun to make and pretty easy, I loved how they dressed up this ipad case. Krista … you will benefit from the hexagon tutorial! 🙂
