Family Ski to the Glacier

Taking advantage of the beautiful Sunday afternoon to ski up to the Mendenhall Glacier.

Sunday turned out to be beautiful and balmy … well, 32 degrees is warm compared to 10 degrees!!  Lots of other people and dogs were also out with us walking, skiing, snow-shoeing and sledding down chucks of icebergs sticking out of the frozen lake.  It was the perfect afternoon to remind myself of why it is exactly that I am a Juneauite.
