A Snowy Haines Weekend

Snowflakes are one of nature’s most fragile things, but just look what they do when they stick together.    – Verna M. Kelly

It was a great weekend in Haines … totally peaceful and relaxing, good times catching up with friends and making new friends.  We got about 2 feet of snow and it was especially nice to be able to enjoy the snow and its beauty and now have to worry about shoveling, icy roads, etc.  We just let it snow and snow and snow, our only concern was to eventually get to the ferry terminal on Sunday afternoon to sail back to Juneau.  Lots of laughter, 4-wheeler-riding, cribbage, knitting, a little hunting and walks in the snow, movies, cooking, good food and most importantly…good memories!

We think Lee’s beard makes him look like the Man vs. Wild guy; Bear Grylles after he’s been out on a two week survival trip to Antarctica!!!
